We Got First Place at the Ontario Business Awards

Helder Media won first place for Web Designers in Brantford at the Ontario Business Awards.

This one caught us off guard in the best way possible. We work with businesses that are in Brantford, and a lot of the other businesses we work with serve Brantford. We’ve always been about building sites that look good but we are strong advocates of data-driven design. A good looking site is useless if it has bad UI/UX. Business websites need to convert visitors into customers and make business owners’ lives easier.

What This Win Means to Us

First place feels incredible in a category as competitive as web design, especially in the time of AI website builders. This award feels better knowing it reflects the real work, experience, and knowledge that goes into designing and building a business website. We’ve adopted AI into our workflows, but it’s the human experience that drives good design.

We don’t build websites just to check boxes, I mean we do have checkboxes, but we build them to solve problems. Whether that’s a bad user experience, poor mobile design, bad onpage SEO, or a site that just doesn’t speak to your customers. Every project is about understanding what the business needs and delivering something that actually drives results.

It’s About the Businesses

When we first started, it was obvious there was a hole. We did our research and all our local businesses were paying for dated-looking websites, or, they were outsourcing to agencies in Hamilton, Toronto, and beyond. We wanted to bring that modern website experience to a local market, and we have been.
